Saturday I had the chance to photograph a wonderful family with two great boys! They were a delight! This boy wasn't quite so sure what to think about the crazy lady with the camera in his face. But he was sure that he wanted to love his Momma.This boy loves his 'Tools' very much.These boys are the way brothers are meant to be. This boy thought water would make pictures much more fun. It sure did!Thankfully this boy missed me.This boy looks so cute naked. Don't you wish we all did?This boy has blue eyes that make you melt.This boy was silly.

This family is adorable! Thank you for a fantastic shoot. I enjoyed meeting your sweet family.
And even when life is hard. These two boys are there for each other.

Three Sisters

They are everything little girls should be. They are blessed with wonderful parents who have taught them to be so wonderful. It was my privilege to take their pictures. Turning 8!

This sweet girl is turning 8. She is going to be baptized soon and her Mom wanted pictures of her in her baptism dress. Isn't she gorgeous? I pulled a few of my favorites so far. I still have a lot of proofing left to do.

But I will say that this last one happens to be one of my favorites. Happy Birthday sweet girl. And congrats on your upcoming baptism.

This week we had weather that was GORGEOUS! It was 70+ and perfect weather for photo shoots. This senior totally lucked out with the weather. We started out at the mall. Then Mr. Security Officer decided it wasn't a good idea, so we left.
And you gotta love this serious look. Beautiful.

And her smile, gorgeous.

And hats are the thing this year for senior pictures. And she is totally working her Michael Jackson hat.

Life has been busy. I have had a ton of shoots, and I am trying to get them all proofed and up. I have had three this week already, and I have at least two more! These are from last Saturday.

They were ready to smile, to be happy, and to model for me. Love it!

I am in love with the fall color we have right now. The yellows are gorgeous!!

This little guy was not happy. He wasn't feeling so hot. But at least he was looking at me. :)

And I don't think you could find a couple that looks like they go together anymore than these two.

Finally the little dude decided he could smile.

This Grandma, who does not look old enough to be Grandma is one of the best Grandma's I have ever met. I was so impressed with her! Talk about some lucky Grand babies!
She could run match faster with her tongue out. It cracked me up!

He really didn't want to smile for me. I think my camera scared him.

This is one of my favorite times of the year for photography. Everyone is in the mood for family pictures, the air is crisp and the colors are just right. Today was no exception. Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot this morning. And no, I am normally not this fast, but today I was in the mood.
The shadows and this picture are just so fun, I couldn't help myself!

This girl is so excited to have her baby brother! And I think this is such a perfect moment.

Senior 2009

From back home. This sweet girl flew out to see me, and to get her Senior Pictures taken while on a fun trip visiting me! It was great to see her. And I enjoyed her shoot, even though it ended up being the most HUMID day since I moved here! Thanks for being a great sport. We had fun and checked out a ton of new places and it ended up being a terrific shoot, and the storm started within minutes of packing my gear up.

Washington Wedding

Are you ready to sit back and look at a BEAUTIFUL couple? I hope you have a few minutes to look at all of the pictures. Charlotte and Matt and just beautiful together, you might remember them from my Early April engagement session.

He couldn't take his eyes off of her.

You couldn't ask for a prettier, more serene bride.
And he is looking pretty GQ. He was totally checking out his new wife!

It was all I could do to ever get him to look at the camera, he was just smitten with his stunning bride. Who could blame him! And I hope all guys are this into their new wife on their wedding day! That is how it is suppose to be.
I love how sweet and animated they both are. The interacted and had tons of fun!

Do you see that sky? The reception was planned for outside in the beautiful rose gardens. I brought the storms from Indiana evidentally. But this shot I love the colors, and the sky just adds that much more.

But the storm still hit. Thunder, lightning, rain, and horrible winds. Everyone scurried for cover, and poor Charlotte watched as her reception blew away. Matt brought her in close as everyone hustled to save the decorations.

And the Church was set up and reception was okay.The groomsmen and the groom were too funny. And they decided they could take a picture if I promised to be quick.

It was a beautiful wedding. And I wish them all of the best. Thank you for letting me be part of your special day!

I am proofing still. This is going to be a long process. I took a few thousand photos, but Hilary is truly stunning and I have to share how gorgeous she is!

Christmas is only 13 days away. Time is ticking. Here are the latest gorgeous families I have had the privilege of photographing. They were both super fun great families who made my job so easy! I enjoyed every minute of it. I love their front door and entry way. I think it makes for a beautiful backdrop. It was cold, it was snowy and they smiled.
I love this moment! LOVE IT! It makes me smile every time.
5 boys, she is an awesome MOM! Look at how happy they are together. I love big families.

I love the back lighting. It was freezing cold, but you wouldn't know it by looking at them.
I am done for 2007. 2008 isn't that far away and I am going to take sometime to enjoy the season and get all of my many things done. Can't wait for 2008!

A super fun engagement shoot. They were up for anything and you can feel how much they love and adore each other. Less than one month until the wedding.. time is flying. Here are a few of my faves.. there are SEVERAL more.

Serene and Safe She thinks she looks like she is going to eat his face. I disagree. I love the feeling of sharing a joke with your special someone. One of those things you CAN'T BELIEVE THEY SAID.. yet you love it.
At the end of the day they jumped in the water to get cooled off.. though I am not sure how cooled off they were.

My first family shoot! I did it for some of our great friends. This is by far my favorite shoot I have done, HANDS DOWN! It went great and was so much fun. I hope I can have many more like this. This is my Dad. I know not 5 pictures of one thing. It keeps not turning out. He is in his newly finished greenhouse. And just taking a break from working. I snapped this picture of him in his element. This is my Dad, it shows what he looks like most of the time. How my kids will remember him. Part of the colors are blown. I was trying for sidelight. I am up a few hours early.. but I have them and want to make sure I get it done! I think Daffodils are beautiful and I was more than happy to get a few pictures of them. Warming it up a little. Following the CC and hoping I have successfully done that. This is my first shot of my kids feet. I loved how they are wrapped into each other.

f3.5 1/200 ISO1600 yeah it was fast.. I was inside and with my kit lens... and it was way too dark until I went that fast so it seems a little grainy. HHCC appreciated. I am hoping that with my new lens I can do better! I can't wait to get my 50mm. Thanks for looking!

Experimenting with my camera and lighting. It is so grey here that it is hard to get much light... I am hoping for some sunnier days that are warm so my hands aren't numb all of the time. Is above 30 too much to ask? HHCC and thanks for looking and for the CC! I appreciate it.

Basketball Shoes!!

The black one, is mine. Love that shoe, it was my Basketball shoe for my Senior year, and it wasn't thrashed after the year because my asthma got so bad that over Christmas Break my doctor had me benched because my pulmonary functions were super low.. so that was the end of my basketball career. They are nine years old now.. I still wear them for ball.

I bought Randy the yellow ones two years ago for Church ball.. they are pretty sweet basketball shoes, and yes my feet are only 1/2 a size smaller. Go me!

Finally more outside the box, and not the river! Woo hoo! We have a little evergreen in our yard and while I had my dogs outside I noticed the ice on it and all the frost and got a picture. I love the look of it!

The second one.. I had dropped off pictures at the fire department yesterday and while I was getting my kids buckled in their car seats I saw ice on a tire, on just the little pieces of rubber that stick up. I don't think I have ever seen that. I grabbed my camera and was trying to quickly snap pictures, not quick enough evidently. The fire chief came out to find out what I was doing since it was his pickup and I had my lens right up to his tire snapping away! I quickly explained I was taking pictures of water and I just wanted pictures of the ice. He looked at the ice chuckled and wished me luck. It is official I know look like a freak, but man is it fun!

Fire and Ice

Okay, so there is no fire, but there are firefighters! Close enough. I was out snapping pictures and I saw firetrucks out again and my kids wanted pictures with them. They turned out cute, but they aren't water. They asked me if I would be willing to take pictures of them practicing a rescue, of course I would!!! They were in the middle of the pond and the ice was about 9 inches thick. My kids loved watching it. I was wishing I had a better zoom, but I only have the kit lens. These are my favorites of the 100 or so I took.. I am loving my camera and I am not missing the lag of my old camera!! HHCC appreciated as always! Thanks for looking!

The Temple

This is among my first shots with my new Rebel XTi, I am beyond thrilled to have it. It is quite a learning curve for me, and I look forward to progressing.
